Cornerstone recently kicked off a fall equestrian club to train volunteers for next year’s myriad of horse activities. These young ladies are learning everything from proper horse handling, care and management, to basic first aid, advanced grooming, equipment choices and care, breeds, coloring and anatomy as well as different ways to assist children with physical and emotional challenges so they can have their fullest experience with the horses here at Cornerstone. Each week they gather to study different aspects of horse ownership and care as well as giving presentations and competing in trivia contests and races against each other and the clock in testing how proficient they’ve become at certain essential tasks in the stables. We are having a great time with this 8-week session and look forward to another one in the Spring. Consider joining us for the Spring series if you aren’t part of this one! This is for ages 6 -18.
Do you offer any week long camps for children in the summer?
Yes! we will be doing some summer camps at the end of June and through July. I’m so sorry I’m only just seeing this message – I didn’t even know we could receive them here on the site. I’m old school and pray you’ll forgive me!
If you’d write back or text me Cortland at 618-980-8303 with your childrens’ names and ages, your name and phone number, if they have any experience and your address. Feel free to call anytime as well
