Bridge the Divide is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was created to provide recreational riding lessons, summer camps and horse show experiences for our most exceptional riders. Previously we served children and adults with developmental and physical disabilities. This year-round program provided lessons that have always been completely FREE to all participants. At its peak, we were offering ONE HUNDRED THIRTY free riding lessons a month. That resulted in over 1000 FREE LESSONS GIVEN in 2010 and 2011.
In 2014, we had to suspend our assisted riding operations due to a lack of funding. Phase II is now underway, with a goal of serving children of veterans and refugees, inner-city kids, foster kids and victims of human trafficking. We hope to continue to use our best horses to heal PTSD and other emotional trauma.
If you have resources to support this program, please, don’t hesitate to contact us.
BTD is undeniably the best thing we have done here at Cornerstone over the last decade. Its absence has been keenly felt…
